Everyone has their own story of how cancer has affected them, or someone they care about. It’s a battle no one chooses, but yet so many have to fight against it.
Like so many others, our families have experienced these battles and trials and we’ve decided to use our lives and efforts to make a difference. To accomplish this we’ve partnered up with the Home For A Cure program.
Looking specifically at one type of cancer, in 2015, it is estimated that 25,000 women and 220 men in Canada will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and that 5,000 women and 60 men will die from the disease. We can’t ignore these numbers.
RE/MAX is a proud supporter of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF), having contributed almost $3 million to the Foundation’s Ontario and Atlantic regions since 2004. What is this Home For A Cure program? As a supporter of this program, we are making a direct donation from the sale of every home (bought or sold) to the CBCF.
Our efforts don’t stop there! In addition to donating a portion from every sale, we are also participating in the CIBC Run for the Cure in October, and fundraising as a team. Our fundraising efforts will support research that helps save and improve the lives of women with breast cancer.
