One of Waterloo’s most popular neighbourhoods is Beechwood. Located on the west side of Waterloo, this is a lively area with the perfect blend of activity and privacy. Close in proximity to Uptown Waterloo, Beechwood is located in one of the older parts of Waterloo. Most homes dating back to the 1980’s or earlier. The homes are large and traditional, with generous lots and beautiful, mature trees.
This neighbourhood was created with families in mind. There are six community pools, tennis courts, parks, soccer fields and skating rinks in Beechwood. Childcare facilities are also nearby. Residents enjoy paved walking trails among the mature trees and plenty of parks for the kids.
Beechwood is centrally-located and convenient to Uptown Waterloo, the malls (Conestoga Mall and The Boardwalk), shopping, restaurants and the University of Waterloo and Wilfred Laurier University.
Public school students in Beechwood have two K-6 schools available, both of which offer French immersion (1-6).
